Black, as a color, is a stylist’s choice for clean and modern design. The color of power and sophistication, black is also a depiction of high end, bold and dominant. Black can be fierce and refreshing in the same context, the new fresh slate since blackboards started gathering dust. For a vehicle to be eligible for Uber Black, it must be all black, with black interiors, among other requirements. Brands such as Audi, BMW, Lexus, Rolls Royce, Range Rover and Tesla are some of the qualifying models. Black dress Known as the LBD, the little black dress is a timeless fashion icon. It's a closet staple and almost as difficult to nail as the perfect jean. The little black dress became well known during Audrey Hepburn’s 1961 Breakfast at Tiffany’s premiere. Black belt A high level of martial arts, the black belt is a skilled expert. A black belt is worn by an expert in judo, karate and other martial arts. It's a wearable trophy of power and dominance. Black Friday Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, when turkey stuffed shoppers scramble for sales of toys, electronics, clothes and holiday gifts. It's the largest sale of the year, with queues snaking around large brand retail chains. It's been said that in the 1980s, the term Black Friday was used to refer to the single day of the year when retail companies would finally go ‘into the black’ (make a profit) after being ‘in the red’ for much of the year.
